We hope you have all enjoyed freshers week and are recovering nicely!
Paddle to the pub – This is our first trip of the year and is open to all members! It will be on Saturday (15th) meeting at 10am by the OLD sports centre. To sign up for this you need to go on the forum which you can access from the homepage of our website: www.lucc.org.uk
Safety talk and Social
THIS Wednesday we have our safety talk which is compulsory if you wish to join the club! It will be starting at 6.30pm in Frankland LT, which is in the Faraday building. If you are not sure where this is, a member of the exec will be waiting by the vending machines in the Learning zone from 6.15pm to show you where it is. The first social of the year will start as soon as the talk is over, which will be our 3 legged bar crawl around campus and then on to town! If you are on campus and are worrying about getting back, we will make sure you are safely into a taxi or on a bus home.
Be on the Exec!
Within the next few days the nominations form will be going up outside the AU office in the LUSU building for the position of safety officer. Even if you are a fresher, if you have some experience of rivers then feel free to run for the job! It will only be for a term or so and it would look great on your CV so it's definitely worthwhile doing! The hustings for this will be next Thursday (20th) at 6.30pm in Frankland LT.
This year we will be running fitness sessions for the whole club. Tomorrow (11th) we will be meeting at 6pm by the new sports centre to jog round the trim trail on campus. It's not intended as anything very serious so come along if you fancy a laugh and perhaps get a little fitter in the process!
This is just a reminder that you all need to fill out the forms and pay the £25 to Rhys asap! The membership and adult participation forms are on the website under 'Downloads' or a member of the exec will bring the forms to a pool session
