On Wednesday there is a beginner trip to Halton rapids, it is also a good chance for anyone going to NSR to get some surfing practice. We will be meeting at the sports centre at 1pm, sign up is on the forum
There is no trip on this weekend due to NSR
The social this week is on Tuesday, meeting at the white cross pub at 7.30pm for the pub quiz. Teams are a maximum of 5 and quiz entry is £1.
Well done to everyone who competed in BUCS slalom over the weekend, our mixed team came 8th out of 18!
NSR – The tent list is up on the forum, and if you could post with what kit you will need, and which boat you prefer by 4pm on Wednesday it would be appreciated!
We have a facebook chat group, which is invitation only to stop any random people joining, but if you would like join just send one of the exec a message and we will gladly add you in.
Polo Boat training - fixing
After a few discussions, the exec and polo captains have come up with an idea that a few people could start learning how to fix the polo boats (with minor breakages).
This is a trial run of this training, but hopefully we can get a bit of interest for it!
Sam has kindly agreed to run this for a bit (with some input from Mini when he's free) and she's suggested using her battered old boat to use as a demo for fixing - so there's no need to go and break the ones in the pool store!!
So details (which may change closer to the time depending on the people turning up)
Date: Wednesday 2nd March
Time: Tbc...check the polo training section of the forum for updates
Meeting place: Outside the Sports Centre to be moving to the Boathouse at Halton when we've met
Note: Due to not being able to teach properly with too many people, if there are high numbers interested then we will have to limit the people to this session and the other's can attend another session at a later date
