Rivers

There is no trip this Wednesday due to lack of safety, but we are running a beginners trip on Saturday to the Rothay. This is open to anyone and a great way to gain confidence on moving water. As an incentive to get more safety to come along we are also hoping to run the Kent on the way home with the more experienced members of the club. So please sign up on the forum as this trip really is for everyone!

Alps 2011

There will be an Alps Meeting on Tuesday 8th March in Furness LT 2 at 7.30pm. If you are wanting to go, interested, or wanting some more information before making a decision, please turn up as we will be going into more depth with the information so that you can decide.

Socials

This week we are just having a few quiet drinks in the friary, meeting at half 8, and then deciding where to go from there!

The sign up for the end of term Easter meal is now on the forum. It is going to be held at bar 1725 in town. The final price has not yet been decided, it will either be £15 or £17, but we will let you know by the 12th, and you will then have to get your money to Rhys by the 21st of March!

Hoodies

The hoodies should hopefully be here by the end of next week, so if you have not paid yet it would be great if you could get your money to Rhys as soon as possible

Training

1* & 2* assessments – we have a few places left for anyone who feels they may be up to 2* standard. It will be on the 30th March, and will take up the whole day, as we will be doing training in the morning, and then having the assessment in the afternoon. This will cost £10, but check the forum if you are interested in signing up.

First aid course – On either the 7-8th May or 21-22nd of May, there is an aquatic first aid course, and you can do either the 8 hour version on a Saturday for £38, or the 16 hour course which continues on the Sunday which is £75. It is a really worthwhile course to do and as well as being useful for the club, it would also look really good on your cv!

Last Sundays pool session

Just a quick apology about having to cancel the pool session last Sunday, it had been decided a while ago that the slot was being given to the swimming team so we could accommodate the polo tournament, so sorry for any inconvenience caused!

Much love,
