This will be the last email sent out to everyone who signed up at the freshers fair, from next week it will only be sent to fully paid members.

If you still haven’t got round to doing your swim test you can come to any of our pool sessions and do it then. Our pool sessions are as follows:

Mon: 7.45 – 9.00am

Tues: 7.45 – 9.00am

Fri: 7.45 – 9.00am

Sun: 4.45 – 6pm

River trips

This Saturday we are planning a trip to Halton, meeting at 10am at the OLD sports centre. Sign up and more details will be going on to the forum soon so keep an eye out!

Tyne tour – The official sign up for this will be going up on the forum in the next few days, so if you fancy an awesome weekend of boating, fireworks, ceilidh-ing and alcohol (or non-alcoholic drinks if you prefer) get yourself signed up! If you have any questions about the trip then ask a member of the exec or anyone who has been on a previous one who will tell you all about it!

This is just a message to all drivers from paddle to the pub last weekend. If you could let us know how much you spent in petrol we will reimburse you straight away.

Safety & Equipment officer hustings

This Thursday (20/10/11) at 6.30pm we will be holding the safety & equipment officer hustings in Frankland lt. All club members should attend this as we need as many members present as possible to vote in the new exec member/s. If you wish to run for this post you will need to sign the form which is outside the AU office in the LUSU building and get someone to first and second you.

Social

This week’s social on Wednesday is the LUCC pub quiz, which will be held in County bar and will be starting at 7pm. It will cost 50p to enter (which is to cover the cost of the prize) and teams will be made up of oldies and freshers.

There is also a sign up on the forum for our social in week 4 which will be our Brookbank discount night. You will have to sign up for this if you wish to come along as we need to know about minibus places/pizza etc.

Fitness training

This week we will be meeting just inside the sports centre a little before 5.30pm. There is no cost for this week as we have been given the sports hall for an hour and we will be playing some badminton!

Re-registering for driving!

See post in announcements on the forum. But basically, if you drove last year for the club you need to go and re-register asap at the AU office as your documents will no longer be valid.

Competitions

This week the sign up for our first FOA will be going up. This is a friendly polo competition in Liverpool on Sunday 13th November. Even if you are a complete beginner and have never played polo before feel free to sign up and come along and give it a go! Our polo sessions will be starting in week 3 so you will have two weeks to get the hang of it.

Wild water Race – The sign up for this will also be going up soon. It will be over the weekend of the 26th/27th of November but more details and information will be going up on the forum soon.

Much Love,

The Exec x
