Newsletter week 26

The sign up for the first alps training trip is still open. It is probably going to be to the Tryweryn on the 5th of June but once we know the dam release dates more details will be up on the forum.

The sign up for the second alps training trip is also now up. It is on the 11th of June and it will hopefully be the Washburn as it is definitely releasing that day.

This weeks social will be on Tuesday to The Sun for their pub quiz! We will be meeting at 7.30pm, and if you are doing the first aid refresher we will be leaving campus and going straight there.

Pudding Bar crawl – In week 28 (15/06/2011) on Wednesday we are doing a pudding bar crawl! Please sign up as Bridget will need to book tables for some of the places. More details of where we are going are on the forum.

End of term meal – There is currently a poll up on the forum for where you would like to go for the meal. The choice is between The Merchants, The Gatehouse and Touro’s. Bridget.

Lifeguards – During next term there will be a lifeguarding course, which will be subsidised by the AU and by the club, so the price will be about £60, which is incredible value compared to normal courses which are about £200. It’s a great way to boost your CV and as the new sports centre will be recruiting soon there’s a fairly good chance of getting some well paid work. More details are on the forum and you can register your interest for it.

First aid refresher – There is one tonight (31/05/2011) before the social, and another on the 23rd of June, so if you do have the qualification please try and make sure you attend one, especially if are going to the Alps, as it will be useful to make sure you are up to scratch.

Much love,
